You'll love it. I used mine like an ulu to split chunks off of a frozen orange roughy fillet today when I was making some stir fry for lunch. It's a really handy blade shape for food prep and I would imagine great for skinning too.

i use my muk almost every time i'm doing anything significant in the kitchen. just bught a bunch of veggies and i already know what tool will be used.

i want a second muk but i'm really curious how the S5 is going to compare to the muck.

The BDLE is pretty dang handy in the kitchen, too.

I might sharpen up the mud puppy and try using it as a paring knife. I don't see much other use for a blade that short with that much handle.

I LOVE the blue/black G10... that one was very tempting to me.

If I was allowed to sell the zilla, I might have bought that one, but I've spent WAYYYYY too much on knives recently.

i honestly thought it was a black with black g10 when i emailed sold pending pics. in the pics i thought it was green/ black g10 and after i decided to get it i actually read the post and looked at the pics a little harder. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

would've preferred black, green, whatever.... i'll use it just fine!

Well after you've beat on it a bit, if you decide you can't stand the blue and want to sell it at a discount, give me a hollar <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

about to order the survival book you recommended over in outdoors andy. grazie!

Glad to help!

Andy,
Which survival book did you recommend?

Here it is from the outdoor forums:

The Collins Gem SAS Survival Guide with Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.com/SAS-Survival-Guide-Handbook-Collins/dp/0060849827

Just thought I could help.

Thanks.
I have that one. Well, had it. Got it for my wife's kit.
Seemed pretty good.

Sounds good Bush.
When you heading up?
I'm car-less until Monday, as in walking...long story, dead truck,
new to me car probably Monday afternoon.
Then I get to be poor again for a couple of years.
Just when I thought I was finally going to have a chance to get
ahead a bit, and be able to score some more knives.
Oh well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
