I guess I need to quite thinking about blades for a while. Nah, that would be not fun!

New gun law introduced in the House - HR45. Except, of course, that the person who submitted the bill was in office during the Bush Administration, too, and tried to submit the exact same bill, and it failed just as gloriously then as it is going to now.

The bill doesn't have a single co-sponsor, even with a Democrat majority in the house. Blaming it on the Obama administration is silly.

By the way, this is why I hate partisan politics so much... everyone is so anxious to blame the other side for everything, that they are always making these ridiculous doom and gloom declarations every time the party they dislike does something.

It's pretty much the political equivalent of crying wolf. When a real threat to our freedom comes, and plenty of them have come along in our lifetimes, it's hard to get anyone to care, because people have been crying wolf for so long.



It reminds me so much of all the democrats blaming the Bush administration for the failure to provide aid in the hurricane Katrina disaster. The fact of the matter is, it took a coordinated set of gross failures and negligence on many, many levels to have things go that wrong, and to blame the President for it directly was idiotic. Could the President done more? Perhaps, but to use that one incident as evidence of some sort of failure of his leadership was just plain stupid.

There is always new gun control laws being introduced but most never get anywhere. Thank God!

Didn't join the first two so I guess I really should add something to this one.

Even with a fillibuster-proof majority in the Senate, there are enough Democratic congressmen who oppose taking away gun rights, that it won't get anywhere anytime soon.

You just have to look at the way Obama and Hillary had to pander to gun owners during the primaries - heck, Hillary, who was a big pusher of gun regulations in NY and when her hubby was in office, started going on and on about how she opposed gun regulation.


Did she really oppose it? OF COURSE NOT!!! She was LYING. Like any other politician.


But she knew it was political suicide to push gun regulations when running for President. There are enough people in this country that still value our gun rights that we're pretty safe on that front, at least for the time being.

Very nicely said MM. Katrina was a prime example of why the people need to be armed and not just with single shot or bolt action firearms either. Trying to use common sense and proven facts doesn't work with the ANTIs and their agendas. They'd rather use emotions, made up statistics or just be used as puppets for someone else's misdeeds. Very sad!
