I think they skipped it because of shark week. Even when there are a lot of Turkeys they are still skittish in the wild. They have great eyes and run like crazy when there is motion. Even as little as moving a finger.

Bow hunting turkey is a challenge.

The heck with shark week, I thought it was boring. Bring back Dual Survivor

I gotta agree hunting them with a bow would be more of a challenge, but easy pickings around here with a rifle or shotgun.

I get a few of them in my yard sometimes! Takes away the challenge of the hunt though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

I can just see the two great friends of Dual Survivor walking through the wilderness, sort of like these two, enjoying each others company and contemplating the joys of friendship.

How did the Cody guy get so big? He looks like a former power lifter, or body builder. I doubt he got that size from living off the land. Decent show though.

I wonder if Cody took it with him? He did say it was his first fire hollowed canoe. Looked PDG too!!!
Great series. Hope to see it next year. I like the "Art of Self Reliance" snippets also.

I finally caught the show. Talk about the odd couple, a hippie and a soldier. Both of them seem to know their stuff, though. At least they're not stupidly running everywhere they go like Bear does. A cripling injury way down in the bush can mean death.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
