I will admit to making that mistake with mine too. I have a 16 year old son that I can't do anything with, and I am ashamed to admit that I wasn't the father I should have been over the years. I dread what will become of him, just because he has no self control or self discipline.

But I'm trying to change him little by little, and it's hard at this age.

Yes Todd, it is hard. BUT at least you ARE trying now.

Afraid it's too little, too late. He want's to go live with his mom now that I'm cracking down on him, she'll let him do whatever he wants. He just can't realize that isn't the best for him. His sister found out that way too, she lived with her mom and partied down for about 6 months, mom buying pot and booze for her. She came back and cried to me about how she realized, finally, that I was right

Has SHE, his sister, talked to HIM?

No, not lately. She's too far up her boyfriend's hind end to talk any sense into little brother. But I've asked her to, so we'll see.

Well hopefully she'll remember what it was like and will talk some sense into him.

So anyway, what do you have planned for your days off? I'm going to play golf Monday afternoon and do some fishing Tuesday, if all goes as planned.

Nothing really important that I know of, we'll probably just go driving around some, maybe flea market or go eat out somewhere.
