I have a lot of friends that shoot taurus. But like many other weapons they don't feel right in my hands. I prefer Sig. I had a full size XD 45 5" and a beautiful little Sig 229 .40 that both got stolen by some dirtbag in Ft. Hood!

Sumo I am watching it right now. If it is remotely truthful Cody would be hurting from frost bite. But A biffalo hide blanket is really some warm stuff. Yeah, but he did not have it wrapped around his legs until the end.

Anyone else have Dual Survivor on? They are going too far this year. So far they cut themselves, used fire on themselves, and now these guys are in MT with the one in socks and shorts--IN WINTER. WOW. I saw the episode where they cut him and used gunpowder to seal the cut I guess it is legit, I have read about it many times from the Revolutionary War times and on. The thing is they acutally cut himself a bit to demonstrate. The cut he had I would never had thought about much more than a compression cover.

Nice! Wish I had an SOD
So many knives...so little money... I have too many knives. I did a count today looking at what I could sell, etc. It is truly sad as some will never get used. Now my SODLE, that will always stay with me--has a HD convex and rides in a Savage leather sheath.

Are SODs usually one that gets brought to Blade? Saw a few at the AG Russell show in AR and at the Tulsa show when they were down this way.

I recently watched a YouTube vid of ballistics gel tests, they shot a few caliber threw denim that was over the gel. The one interesting but scary result came from .380 speer or ranger (can't remember) it passed through the denim got clogged and never expanded in the gel.
To me it seems too often gun selection gets based off caliber, you know the old 9mm vs .45 thing, when more consideration should be taken in ammo selection. If its was my decision I'd go with the XD9 with some rounds designed for the shorter barrel length (yes they make'em), it would be more powerful than the 45 in similar barrel lengths.
