OR crawl onto a rocket ship! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> If we are gonna do that we will need to hurry, the last one is going up soon, although I would assume security is pretty tight <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Tried it yesterday for a sheath but I boiled the leather to long and it became SUPER hard, like kydex almost

I can believe it, as I know that the ancient Romans wore leather armor, much like the Samurai.

Hehe, so THAT's what I did to a Buck fixed blade sheath about 35 years ago. And all this time I thought it was the Microwaves fault! (Oh I had wet it first and just wanted to "dry it out" some.

I would think that boiled leather would make an interesting and tough sheath, but you would definitely need to drill the holes before stitching! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Ity would give a sheath that "well used" look! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> "It started out as a sheath for a DogFather, but ended up a Dumpster Mutt sheath". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I was making it for an SS4, I gave it an extra inch and a half or 2 inches of extra material, after it was done boiling, the sheath was to short, even if I could have worked it
