Because Ishikawa's thread is locked without getting an answer I'll post a new thread.
What are the lines on the 511?
I think others also want to know this.
I hope this one stays on topic.

They are simply milling lines. They perform no additional function. It would be great to say they are a new version of a corrugated blade...but they are not.

I hope this helps

Dan

I don't know why we haven't heard back yet; I sent messages to Renee AND Dan.

Sorry for the slow response. I have been heads down making 511's and the long hours in the shop leave very little at the end of the day. The response to this knife has been huge...very cool.

Last night I got to leave the shop to attend my sons school event to meet the teachers. This was a 4 hour event that seemed like it would never end. I know it was good to go but to be honest 80% of the information could have been covered with an e-mail

Anyway, things should start to get back to a normal pace and I am already working the next release.

Yeah thanks big Dog, I didn't get a 511 but I was curious as well.

Oh and thanks for the heads up on the 911 being the next release. I can start saving up for it. Or in the words of a GREAT character, "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a 911 today"!

But a fine try at that

Thanks for the confirmation Dan. It pretty much seemed obvious but we anal knife addicts needed the affirmation. Now I know The Swamp kind of stole the thunder on the R9, But 9/11/11 would still be a cool release date for the SYKCO 911.

Come on Dan they are super secret linear transverse nano-particle tolerance enhancers.
You know we will keep it a secret.

Ok I am speaking nonsense now
I should hit the sack early tonight

Thanks for clearing up the question Dan we do appreciate it

I agree with what that guy from Canada said, except for the part about going to bed early.
