I know an ex-marine (i hear that there is no such thing) that lives here now, but he is very active in veterans rights and exposing fakes (under the old stolen valor act)
There is a small town in the Kootenai region of BC that was a Mecca for draft dogers and hippies during the Vietnam era.
Last year he found out that they were going to put up a statue in honor of the draft dogers, he went nuts.
His group found out in time, was able to organize petitions and such to get it stopped
I didn't meet a single person that agreed with the statue and it was condemned by everyone I knew

That's a fine line. And, I've had enough drinks to at least walk it.

My country was born from treason. I believe if a man does not believe in his country's reasons, he should revolt. That, I believe, is why our founding fathers wrote the Second Amendment. So we can. It is funny how some of those books written in the 1950's and 60's seem relevant today
