It's a barren wasteland out there! There's very little 22 available around here even! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The manufacturers will catch up with the insanity soon. I hope.

Yesterday my brother and I hit the local gun store/range before we headed to an outdoor range. It was like a barren wasteland for HD shotguns, AR's, AK/AKM's, M1A's, or anything that took a detachable mag. There was a Ruger Scout but I did not look at the price. Handgun wise, .40 S&W was still stocked in the case but everything else was near sold out.

I figured there would not be many people at the outdoor range and was I wrong, there was the most I had seen in a long time. I am not sure if it was because we had nice weather, the election, the EO's or what but there was plenty of people shooting AR's, bolt rifles, M1A's, M1 Garands, SKS rifles, and all kinds of pistols. It did my heart good to see several kids and women out there too.

Ted, in time the ammo will come back. Not as cheap as we want or fast enough but hopefully the ammo producers will have an ample supply of 5.56mm and 7.62x51mm real soon--I mean the POTUS said we are leaving so why not.

I believe it's the US military leaving the sandbox and not sucking most of the available ammo to shoot at bad guys.

Ha, my rifle was featured in the big battle scene in the tv show Revolution this week. The character, Nora, was using it to fend off the helicopter attack. I thought it was cool that they used a bolt action rifle for that.

BTW, it wasn't MY actual rifle, but it was set up as a scout rifle should be with the forward mounted scope and ten round magazine.
