I went by one of my favorite gun shops today. It's an old, well established shop. All the guns were gone. He had sold them all. Ammo was gone too. I have seen panic buying before, but this is the worst. You can't even find a box of 22LR in this town.

Umm....I guess it is related to politics. It was just an observation. I had no idea the panic buying was so intense. Is this typical or is my town just more paranoid?

Yeah, lots of gun stores are totally depleted of ammo and especially evil black rifles.

Which reminds me, I should try and find some 12ga this weekend. There has to be more of that out there at least.

I think people are buying for a few reasons. Some are stockpiling because they are afraid Guns and Ammo will be taken away. Some are buying because they don't want to pay inflated prices down the road. Some are buying to resale in an inflated market. If I had the cash I would probably pick up a few things I have wanted/needed for awhile. I remember the cost of black rifles in the nineties and would rather not pay those prices again (I sold my colt ar15 to by a car back then).

I think it is a little rediculous the run that is going on right now.

I think its for resale, BUT a bunch of different gun shows are now under attack in SoCal. Places that have been hosting Gun Shows for decades without incident are now being pushed to stop hosting the shows.

Remember, knives don't run out of ammo.

Luckily its probably all decent honest people buying up the product

Supply and demand, like it or not.....it is what it is I guess.

BTW, you can barely find 9mm and .223/5.56 ammo online these days. It used to be quite plentiful only a year ago.....

It is crazy. It has even affected reloading supplies. They are getting scarce also.

One of my favorite guns shops has shut down because they have nothing to sell. They sold out fast and have nothing literally nothing to sell as far as guns or ammo.

Yes, the market is CRAZY right now! I managed to pick up some ammo from a couple of sources just before they ran out. I make it a habit to check the Sporting Goods section of stores when I'm out....don't forget to check out the farm supply stores. They will be priced a little higher but still have some ammo in stock.
