My gun shops have little ammo, but it goes fast. LEOs visited me yesterday to shop for guns and ammo. They are short, too. They have known me for years. We are a brotherhood. Yes, I accumulated a fair number of "Personal defense weapons. There was much alcohol and tobacco consumed. As of now, I can still do cauaual sales in my state. We had a little ATF party. I did what I could to help these honoable men. We all go back over 20 years. Mostly ammo, pistols, amd self dense rifles were in demand.

Vic, I am glad that you take care of your guys because someday they may have to take care of you. Personally, I would let loose only if I had an ample supply for myself and family. If officers have to wait on ammo it is a shame, but then again we are having to wait too. I understand where the guys in NY and other places that are limited feel that the LEO group should feel the impact like the rest of us.

My uncles PD is scrambling to find the guns and ammo they need. Homeland has screwed all the Law enforcment agency's. they bought up a large chunk of the calibers they need

Around here, the civilians are buying the most ammo, but our shortages last a few 'til the next shipment comes in. Pretty steady lately.

if everyone would take a breath and chill,we'd have ammo again and we wouldn't be jacking up the prices!

I take it as a good sign gunbot is showing a bunch of 223 in stock...even the $1 or more a round stock would have been bought a month or two ago.

Hopefully the ammo producers will continue cranking it out. Eventually the panic will end, or people will realize they have no more room in their house/places to store it, and we can get back to shooting. It is a shame that the ammo manufacturers would not sell to the public first, then fill the DHS order. I wonder how the stock holders would feel if they knew that more money could have been made supplying the private sector instead of a bulk discount price to a despised government agency?
