I'm really unhappy with ups and ruger. Not sure where the problem is. The lady for ruger said that the ups guy would be by three times to try to pick up my rifle
Thursday. They never showed Thursday or Friday.

Both my grandparents were home and are not hard if hearing!!!
He didn't even try!!! Tomorrow my grandma has to go to a doctors appointment because if her stroke a few weeks ago and nobody will be home half the day!!!!
So PISSED!!!

Try and find a drop off store in your area I never use home pick up just because I am never home for a whole day to wait around for the ups guy.

i've had a drive do that before. seems like they just don't want to take the stuff off the truck so they stick a note and keep rolling.

maybe call and talk to dispatch. i once caught up with a fedex driver on his route and picked up my stuff at his next stop. even had them schedule a drop off for a particular time.

Yes but it really is ups that is causing you problems with your pick up

A few years ago I bought a rifle and it was sent via purolator or Loomis, I can't remember which.

Here in Canada firearms can only be shipped by certain couriers and this was one of them.

No the sender did all his documentation correctly

I get home from work one day, and my neighbors sees me walking up my driveway
He said to me hey I got the new rifle that you ordered

He said when the courier was walking back to his truck from my front door he saw Dave and asked him if he knew me

When Dave said yes he gave him the box and said here can you give this to him when he gets home

Dave did not know what was in the box until he took it inside
When he saw that it was marked firearm he got nervous as he had a court ordered firearms ban (recovering drug addict)

Miraculously when I phoned customer service, they claimed that the driver had my signature on his paperwork

Let's just say that they were not very happy with me by the time I was done with them

I sort of feel bad that I recommended this rifle on a couple of forums, it almost seems that my nephew has the only good one ever made

This is what I meant by the above comment. Use the list as a basis for decision and starting point for research.

Again - my comment wasn't toward you Randy. I was hoping to post it before anyone commented, but I had rambled on for so long my eyes were floating and I HAD TO PEE! eek

Although I can purchase and own restricted weapons (pistols, AR 15's as examples) I currently don't own any as I can only shoot them at approved ranges

My firearm collection is based solely on my hunting needs, except for my 22's and mossy 500

Nope, mine works great too. Knock on wood, but I've had no issues with it at all.
