Shouldn't take much of a knife to build a house that small. I mean after all, Squirrels aren't really all that big.

But yeah, I could do without that upswept tip but I do understand the reasoning for it.

Well I have to admit, I was never a fan of the blade shape or the double-guarded handle. I should have bought a De-Reg but even then I always intended to modify the front guard for improved choil grip. Without a modification, I thought the choil was useless. All that negativity aside, who wouldn't feel dang blessed to have one in his possession in a crap situation?

I feel that if the Regulator were to live on as a series, it should always be one that is just the ultimate SY bang-for-your-buck in a largish knife. Whatever Dan and the crew can manufacture for the lowest price economically possible. That would be pretty awesome.

I think that most of us here consider the Reg/DeReg as a Camp/outdoor blade, whereas it MIGHT have been (can't remember what Dan said) as the ultimate fighter that doubles as a Survival blade. In that case the blade shape begins to make more sense.

If a new version were to come about, I would like to see emphasis as a fighter with camp/survival capabilities with a larger blade.

The 6-1/2 camo Regulator was my favorite Regulator; I always dreamed that it would be available, someday, in a slghtly longer version. That said, my stripped 6-1/2 is my alltime fav.

I had one (6.5 Reg) for a while and Yes, it IS NICE. But when I saw the Bullnose Regulator, I just couldn't resist that strange looking nose and I couldn't afford to buy it so the owner wanted another 6.5 so we BOTH became happy campers.

I have Regulators, De-Regulators, and a BullDog Regulator, but I prefer the De-Regulator most and BullDog the least.

Oh well, at least it's in third place.

I guess it deserves the Bronze.
