I don't break the law on principle even stupid ones I don't agree with.
Although the principle is not to risk legal problems without a huge cash payout it has served me well.
What I might do is get a non auto Boker and when the law is overturned(I am an optimist)then convert it myself. Other than the stupid folder/auto law the laws for knives in Canada is quite good. You can legally carry anything concealed or not so long as you have no intent to use it as a weapon. Self defence is not considered a good reason to have a knife although I am hoping that will change.
