I think our low is predicted to be 7 below, and add about another 10 degrees for wind chill. I just finished brushing the snow off the deck for the fourth time, trying to keep ahead of the buildup overnight.

It was 8 degrees while I was clearing the deck and front porch, getting ready to drive down to the mailbox and then sweep some more. It's supposed to snow most of the day and then more overnight.

Good COLD morning Yard. I will have to sweep off the porch and yard in a little while, ahead of the major snowfall. We won't be going anywhere for a few days as our road is always one of the last to get plowed.

You should have had the furnace serviced BEFORE the arctic blast Randy. We did have it looked at and everything turned out OK, then it just started acting up with THIS problem and out heat/ac guy is getting slammed.

Well I got it all done. Trigger pull is lighter and buttery smoth. Now she’s a good G26. Heck today I even polished my G48 single stack 9mm. Don’t have a spring pack so I can’t change them out, BUT…

Hopefully we’re prepared as well. It’s 9 degrees now and predicted to get down to 7. And when it’s all told by sometime Sunday we could have 8-12 inches of snow.
I picked up a gallon of of milk, some more Earl Gray tea toilet paper and bread so we should be OK. as long as pur furnace works. It’s be3n wonky some lately. But if I turn the thermostat to off and back on it works OK, at least for a while. Ir’s be3n working fine for about a week then started acting up today again.

I think we are well prepared for the 2 feet that is predicted for our area. I’m kinda worried about my wife though. She’s only 5 foot tall so that leaves only 3 feet of her sticking out of the snow. So I bought her a hunter’s orange scarf. That should be good enough to spot her location if she slipped and fell whilst shoveling the drifts. On my end I have enough food and drinks to last a week. If the power goes out I have a manual coffee grinder and a survival stove. I hope everyone is adequately prepared also.

We did our, last minute shopping today and had an early dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant. We're well prepared for the cold and snow predicted for our area.

Got a dremel tool, some felt “polishing” tips and some flitz. Gonna try and do some mirror polishing to some gun parts. I figure I can’t destroy to much with this setup so gonna try and give myself some relaxing informative work to keep myself occupied some.

Wise decision Mike. Looks like I will have to cancel a VA appointment if we get the snow they are forecasting as our rural areas are the last to get plowed. I'm not looking forward to the bone-chilling cold that is predicted.

Decided driving from ohio to North Carolina and back to shoot a day/night team match was probably a bad idea so I had to cancel the trip.

Another big storm is headed our way this weekend so I instructed my wife on how to straighten the edge of the snow shovel and I like to put a slight edge on it too. I also had her check that there were enough snacks and hot chocolate for me. We also made sure her treadmill was in good working order in the event that we lost power. She split enough firewood last fall to last us quite a while so we should be in good shape.

Supervising is a very intense skill Ray. So you needed to rebuild your energy by sleeping, and the Chocolate wasn’t really enough to replenish the energy you had to expend. I commend you for taking care of yourself.

Had a snow storm this weekend that took down some tree limbs. The gutter was damaged and perhaps the roof. The wife had some good snow shoveling exercise. Unfortunately I could not supervise her adequately because I took felt sleepy after having some hot chocolate and took a nap.
