I wanted to ask about peoples experience with air guns, but didn't want it getting lost in the firearms thread. I figure it's a different enough area of shooting to stand on it's own.

I was visiting family yesturday and my brother had a new .22 gamo (?) that we shot a litte. Thing was loud but boy did it crush cans! It got me thinking that an airgun would be a good addition but I haven't had one since I was a kid and figure some of you guys (like Randy ) know about them.

For me, I think of them as a tool for teaching the kids to shoot and as a good emergency tool for small game. What are the good brands and models that are out there?
