Never have to wind or set since it is solar and sets itself by satelites.
Are you sure it's by satellite? Every self setting clock I've seen set itself by picking up the UTC (Universal Time Clock) signal from Colorado that is broadcast on shortwave at 5, 10 and 15, mhz.
