As for batoning, I Baton my Dogfather through big stuff with total disrespect and lack of consideration for the knife's feelings, with a large baton, and I strike it hard and indescriminantly... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I'd say it qualifies for gross abuse of the knife - but I'm positive it'll hold up!
