As far as "happening too much"....out of ALL the knives made a handful are faulty. We here involved in the Busse Forums are just more vocal about our knives every time a scratch in the coating occurs, we take a picture....every time we hit a rock or nail...we take a picture. So it can seem like anything happening is an epidemic! Can you imagine how many other knives from other companies get returned for being defective?
We are vocal because we "use" our knives we do not pamper them. Any metal picked up by a Busse sighs because it knows it's been selected for rough duty.
