Great fishing tale Tyger...I am with POP on the uses I would have for this knife...unless I took up fishing...

You make it look easy....did it with my Dad as a kid but the "bug" did'nt bite...I guess you need a bit of "Canada's vast healthy wilderness" to make it work...the rivers in the North East GB where I grew up probably were too polluted around the estuary to enable many to get through....Rainbow Trout were the best catch I made LOL!
