That's what I thought too, that double cut was always referred to as DC, like the DMDC, but CO said "Busse & related companies" and I don't know enough specifically about Busse.

To me, the CG is the best bang-for-the-buck, even for a user. Like you said it's a subjective term and it depends on what you "use" it for. Most SY knives, with the exception of the BDLE, weren't built for a specific task like slicing, most of them are thick enough to where the coating wouldn't slow down the cutting efficiency.
