I carry a small EDC fixed blade (2.5" length and 5 3/4" overall; custom JK-knife) every day. It is great for all kinds of little cutting chores like opening boxes, those nasty clam shells, sharpening my pencils (everybody laughs at that but it works well), cutting fruits and veggies at lunch etc.
My larger fixed blades go camping with me. When I'm car camping, I love bring a wack of blades and just trying them out on everything from splitting wood to chopping. Then of course there are plenty of day hikes where beyond walking the dogs, a main purpose is to take knife shots in the field. The camera has to have something to bring the wilderness into perspective. What better object to accomplish this then a knife stuck in a tree?
Well since I don't have any Busse family knives yet I wont post shots of them, but when the SOD comes in I'll include it as one of the working models.
