on a slicer hollow ground. or even a flat grind seams to go real good too...
There are two types of geometries being mixed here - edge geometry and blade geometry. You can have a hollow ground or flat ground knife with a convex edge, or a convex ground knife with a flat edge.
The NMSFNO CG, for example, came with a convex blade grind, and a flat edge grind.
The Vex comes with a flat grind, and a convex zero edge.
