What a great bunch of guys, great host, great knives....simply the best sight on the web in my opinion.
I am thrilled that Dan is releasing more knives and so quickly. I love that he is mixing in some SR101.... even though you can't go wrong with S77 either. Maybe he will get us an S5 infi as well. I think he is doing a super job.
I love the inovation with the .33 thick new blade and handle design. I don't know how much thinker or stronger a knife needs to be as I fondle my SOD, but hey....why not! I hope that Dan makes the knew knife available for all here as there is some excitement for it.
For me, I will probably pass on this one. I am much more excited about the S5...maybe because I already have a SOD. I don't know how much performance gain there will be between the Regulator and the SOD as it does not appear blade heavy at all. Dan even hinted that it is fast and light in the hand. I am not sure what a slicer a .33" blade will be.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> The knife is sort of a Tweener to me, but for those who want it, bring it baby!
Now...if Dan releases a .33" Dogfather size blade....Whow Nellie...I will go to the poor house buying those in any steel configuration. Can you imagine a pound and a half DF? They could call it the Fat DF, or the SY Crusher, or something....
