I didn't say it holds the "same" edge as infi/sr-101, I said "almost" . From what I understand/experience, INFI/SR-101 will take a super scary-hair popping edge, where as SR-77 will take a scary shaving sharp, which is good enough for me as I rarely pop hair in real use. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> They might hold an edge a little longer, but slicing paper like in the waki video after chopping like that should be no problem, especially if you use the untouched part of the edge and slice towards the dull part, the sharp part + the momentum should carry it through the rest of the paper. Anyways, I will make a video next time to back up what I said.

And one more thing, I don't want people to think I prefer one steel over the other, I just think SR-77 gets kind of a bad rep for it edge holding abilities when in my actual experience it does a good job. A usable edge doesn't necessarily need to be scary sharp.
