Without going off on a CS rant, why won't people buy Cold Steel knives, Vic? I don't own any and I don't understand what the controversy is all about.
Over on BF there are huge long rants against Lynn Thompson. Of course, like most of you, I would prefer to buy from Dan, but I don't have to agree with all of Cold Steel's advertizing to enjoy their knives. Most of them have given me good service.
I'm with you on that one HornDog. I never cared about the over the top advertising of cold steel however they do make good bang for the buck stuff.
they are not the strongest knife as they claim but they are great knives for the price. I have used my recon scout very hard. I don't love the handle but it is my favorite mid sized knife.
