Just curious, as we do not have any coyote's here in FL - What's the purpose of hunting coyotes? Can/do you eat them? Is it strictly for sport? Population control?

What part of FL do you live in? We have plenty of them here in north central FL. Coyotes killed 7 of our chickens one night. You can go out about 10 p.m. and hear them start yipping and calling to each other. I see them hit by cars pretty often on the road I live on.

They know I look for them so they stay the hell away from our yard now. After the killed our chickens I wanted blood...BAD! They wised up real fast and stayed away.

I'n FL coyotes are nocturnal so maybe thats why you dont see them.

I live is East central FL - South and East of the Orlando area...I have never heard of any coyotes around this area or over near Tampa when I lived there. Interesting to know that they do exist in FL though. Thanks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
