I'm a wanta/need to be Coyote hunter.

I run a dog park on 12 acres in North Georgia. They are giving me some big problems: killed my neighbors dog (got it from us as a pup), starting to show up in the park even during the day, killing off all the smaller game.... They are all over here although most people do not know it since they are nocturnal. I got a call in the middle of the night yelling at me... " ARE YOU DEAF! HOW CAN YOU SLEEP WITH ALL YOUR DOGS BARKING?"... "I'm sorry maam but my dogs are all in the house and not making a sound. What you hear are the local coyotes." "THERE ARE NO COYOTES AROUND HERE, YOU MUST THINK I'M STUPID" click.

A guy I know north of me was having major problems and got a permit to trap them. He was at 48 last I heard, in one season. Since in our area the wolf population was eradicated long ago the coyotes have no natural predator.

I am afraid to fire a larger caliber rifle here, even though I am in AG1. I have been looking at 17 HMR's, as I know that load will not get out of the creek valley I would be firing into. There are houses within say 1/4 mile through the woods. All my cop buddies say, "shoot them, PLEASE! shoot them." The DNR says.."shoot them PLEASE shoot them!"....

They are getting very bold, maybe when my Scarpizashi gets here, if I'm veeerwy, veeerwy quiet.....
