So far with the flat grind, I've only seen a little thinning of the finish right at the edge grind. I think the sabre grind will show wear faster.
I agree, the finish on my Dogfather shows wear (noticeably shinier) right along the sabre grind just from sheathing and unsheathing over time. I have it in the black sheath that was offered from Scrapyard on release, too, not a concrete sock.
