Leatherface and Tony22r,
I got a XD in .45 ACP love it, and it is, as my dad calls it, "a REAL Man's Gun" I have the 5 inch tactical model, and I would sugest the 5 inch barrle. I don't have any true need to pack it EDC (but I am big enough framed that I could pack it if I needed too) and the original 1911s were 5 inch like John M. Browning designed them. I was originaly going to go with the 4 inch servive model in .40 S&W but knew my play money was going to be limited in the near future(school, baby girl, etc.) So I got about as much gun as I could for a great price. I love the ergonomics, my brother in-law shot better with it in the first 50 rounds than he dose with his Bretta 92 that he has had for many years. It is one heck of a good handgun I have had no misfires at all and that has been with cheap ammo. Bottom line....
get one, it is a very nice!!
