Without the catch.....I am more likely to be carrying my pistol over a knife that I would fight with in a situation that would put me in the position to defend my life by killing.......the only knife I have on me at ALL times is my CRKT M21...not much of a fighter, but it will cut you all the same. Just another way of me saying I HATE the catch...but that is just me.
