I thought the Mutts were quite similar to the recent Howlers?

I just checked out EBay prices for the first time and I was shocked that DF are 280$US and even higher and the Mutts are 159$US. More than double the retail price, is this unusual for Scrapyard knives? It looks like I did good ordering 4 Mutts.
