I don't know about the other folks, but for me the extreme hardness was a concern. Dan himself said that the LE was not a prying (tip?) tool. That the CG would be more useful for that types of usage. I for one use my knives for things other than what they were designed to do, CUT. I DO pry, dig and twist with my knives. Just an old country boy that is to old and set in his ways to change. Most of us here buy Dan's blades because THEY CAN BE ABUSED and laugh in our faces while we are doing it. The LE was purpose made I think to be a CUTTING tool unequaled, to slice and pierce SOFT objects. Now the CG, it's in my opinion gonna be made to be more of an all around last ditch or LIGHT prying tool.

Just my two cents worth for what it's worth. That's why I am opting for the CG.
