Thanks all. Linda earned it. Now she has more confidence in herself. You can't "give" self-esteem. It just doesn't work that way. Yes, I encouraged her and occasionally gave her a rough time about completing work on time. I met with her teachers on a few occasions just to make sure we were both on the same page. Now she is ready to take on life's challenges. And she has shown me and herself, that she has the necessary drive and tenacity to succeed in whatever she chooses to do. It's a happy night for both of us.
