Raz, I think Emersons are good, I have two of them. They have or at least had 154cm blades and titanium liners with G10 handles. I've never had any problems with mine, a CQC7A (carried daily for about 4 years) and a Combat Karambit I just got about a month or so a go. No, the K-bit is not a knife as you would use for "OUT THERE" but you would be surprised by it's utility. If I am not mistaken it was first an Indonesian Utility knife.

But they have what we call a chisel grind, almost perfectly flat on one side and a regular looking grind on the other. Looks strange but actually isn't that difficult to sharpen and they do hold a pretty good edge and mine has survived some prying with no harm, harder prying than you would normally subject a sturdy slip joint to.
