I'm not that concerned about the choil -- if someone wants to try using one knife for all things, it's good to be able to choke up for more control in close work. Since I'm a collector instead of a user, it doesn't mean all that much to me either way (unless they're a limit run, like 6.5-inch Regulators, in which case I may order 8.)
