Dad wanted a Shield but got an Springfield XDS and it is the best compact .45 acp I have ever shot--and that is a lot of them. After paying for the 911, will be getting the KD Hawk, and a 1311 I will be hoping for a fund for a XDS of my own. Carrying a full size 1911 in the summer in OK is bad, and the little .380 is better than nothing but not a .45 acp.
