I have a jungle green scrapivore and found I have the same issue with the prybar digging in way much. I have been thinking of some nondestructive ways to deal with the problem myself. I would like to find some of the stuff they use to dip tool handles in. I've seen one brand called plasti dip but want to look at some other options as well. I also thought about some type of kydex end cap or maybe even the possibility of a kydex handle of some sort. another option I considered was to try to paracord wrap the handle and put some epoxy on the wrap over the end and maybe try to wrap a second layer over that or something.
haven't tried anything but if you can handle a dremel and can mix epoxy then I'm thinking there may not be enough reason to remove any steel.
