here's the handle completely dry now. I was thinking this stuff would dry thick like what I see on my other tools but it dries pretty thin. which is actually fine for this particular application as the prybar is no longer a issue and but still remain quite useful since it has the same angle and is still intact under the rubber.
since the main issue I was having seems to be cured I will leave my scrapivore like this for a while. at some point I suspect I will either trim off some of the material and put a neater coat over this one or I may peel it all off and just dip half the handle so i can wrap everything with od green paracord.
