I'll also add....
1) The more weight you put in a thigh rig the more its going to suck. its already going to feel like a weight tied around your leg that swings when you run.
2) If you have so much crap you need to look for more real estate to stow it - you're not going to get very far.
Excluding your firearms you should try to limit your gear to:
30-40 pound ruck
15-20 pounds on your belt order and/or chest rig
This is a max for any distance or rough terrain. I hear people talk about how they can handle a 65 pound ruck. Well, what about when you're getting shot at? Do you want to hump that in addition to your ammo and firearms when someone is trying to kill you? I don't.
This is why "bugging out" is a bad idea. You simply cannot take enough gear with you. Yes, there are ways to resupply (caches, etc) however it should be your last ditch choice.
Stay home and defend.
