I carried a G-26 around for a while. They're great guns however, I just cannot get use to the grip angle. So I gave the wife the G-26 and bought myself a Sig-229.
Jerrywhy,
wow you went from sub-compact (hanging pinky) to compact (full grip).. big difference!
Yeah.. quite a few folks have issues with Glock's grip angle.

I've been taking a Serious look at Kahr PM9093 "pocket 9mm"..
http://kahr.com/pistols_PM9093.html
..it seems to be highly regarded, and thinner than Glock.
I really gotta find a buddy with one and shoot it myself.. but then if i like it, i KNOW i'm gonna buy it! so i'm tryin to hold off on that particular test drive! ..if you know what i mean!

For the most part I really prefer a compact over a subcompact. I'm not a big guy 5'8" about 155 and full size just don't work. However, a compact seems to fit the bill perfectly for me. I wanted to try the G26, and I even carried it around for a year. But like I said the grip angle just wasn't there for me.

In regards to the pinky issue I used a mag extender to give me that extra bit of grip. In fact I blinged that little G-26 out a bit. I put in a 3.5 pound connector with a NY1 trigger spring, extended slide stop lever, ghost ring night sites, and the underwater cups. Now it's my wifes and she's got the only gun among use that can shoot underwater.

Peace
Jerry
