GF: that is what I saw happen to the Rats for a time. They came out with some of the best knives on the market for a great price. Their goal seemed to be focused on getting the best knives for the $$$ to those who could not afford their more expensive brothers (Busse). But when certain models discontinued there was a huge price increase. Especially from those who seemed to have several on hand. The only problem I have with this is that the reason certain models went out of stock so fast is because some people bought several with the sole intent to jack up the price. It's their right I know.
But what of the poor dude who only wanted one, as a user, and could only afford it at the Swamps great pricing. Once on the secondary market it was once again out of his price range.
I remember my first rat. It was a SR-101 Bog Dog. I paid $120.00 on the secondary market. Currently that is a very low price for that model. But it sold orignally for around $75.00 I think. I have seen them for as much as $300.00
I have nothing against the guy who buys a knife, like the Mutt, to try it out. Then after a time decides he needs something different. And as it happens his knife has increased in value. So he sells it at a profit. That's a different situation.
That is why I am thankful for getting my Mutt for basically the original price. Would I have paid more? Hell yes. But for others who missed out they may be turned off for good. And that's bad. IMO.
Sorry for the rant guys. I just want to see a Bone for every Dog. Some cheese for every Rat. And some, well slop, for every Hog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Now back to my zombie movie.
