Funny, I was on a recent range day with both the SCAR 16 and 17 (with FA switches) and while great rifles, they just didn't blow my skirt up, I know that a few hundred rounds is nothing definitive but still, in 5.56 I have to say the M4 makes more sense to me (or a LWRC version)thank the SCAR, in 7.62 it was more interesting but still. All my mates in the US with SCARs love them so I am certainly not saying there is a thing wrong with them either...!!! I just could not figure out what I was not getting on the day...
