took forever to get "on" with the scope I had on the air rifle. scope kept shifting and apparently i had a lesson to learn about shooting it. finally ended up taking a quarter and truning be front screw as hard a I could. fellt it turn turn a good bit more than i expected. that seemed to do it as for the scope. also turns out I need to get some more "follow through" to my shots. watched a review on air rifles and the guy mentioned it about "springer" air rifles. once I did those two things I'm actually impress by my old air rifle. still not as mug power as I would like but a head shot at 30 yards seems to be the ticket.

And the reason I started this thread...

I took a head shot at this fellow at around 25 yards or so but think I was high to the right. Spooked him and he took to the trees. Reloaded and followed him as he was heading home. He decided to stop and take a look at me. I got in right on the cheek bone. He went straight down in his tracks but a toe nail got caugh in the tree bark. He hung there for maybe 3 minutes before he finally came down.

dead squirrel..

told my dad I saw about five of them one day. he says he's seen about eleven <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />! so there's still a few more that need to go as far as I'm concerned.
