The bad stuff was headed right for us, then split north and south just before it hit us. We got some wind, and a few drops of rain.

I hope you fared well with all the rough weather headed your way. There were tornadoes reported to the North and South of us along with hail damage, but we lucked out again.

Had our ‘23 Ford Edge checked out for hail damage Friday. They found 50+ dents estimated 2648 and some change. It’s gonna cost us 500. We were lucky though. Some folks estimate was over 4 grand.

Glad you survived Randy. smile

I got the mowing done ahead of the storms, just glad we fared better than Enid Oklahoma and other areas hit by tornadoes.

Well we escaped relatively unscathed from the city back to the slower paced and much safer country.

Well, this is the day we have to go to one of the Missouri bastions of progressiveness, St. Louis. Hopefully we’ll make it safely out of the den of inequity and safely back home.

Evening Yard!

I broke down and mowed today. I couldn't take the uneven shaggy look on the lawn. LOL, I hate doing it this early since I will have to do it every week, The End of May is usually the average time I stat here. Witht he drought I may lose my back lot lawn.

Good afternoon Yard. Another beautiful day out there and tomorrow is supposed to be the same, so I guess I will mow again tomorrow. The grass is sure loving all the rain. ;(

I agree Tom. That’s another reason I prefer my “Extended length” Blachthorn Shillelagh. He”s 52 inches tall and weighs right at 2 pounds. He’s a hefty boy, but like the legendary Timex, he Takes a Licking and keeps on Stickin. wink

I have a couple really nice canes that I use sometimes now. But I’ve found out I’m much better off using at least a 50 inch “stick”, preferably one 55 inches up to 5 feet. That way if I have to catch myself I don’t have to bend over to accommodate the shorter length cane and thereby am able to remain more upright.

When I walk around much I use an old shovel handle myself. Last year it helped me get up after slipping and falling on ice.

Well it’s a good thing I walk with a big stick. I turned around at church tonight to say hi to someone and my back decided to see if I could survive a lightening attack (well that’s what it felt like). If I wouldn’t have had my stick “Big Bubba” (catchy name ya), I would have face planted on the floor. Luckily Bubba kept me upright. He’s such a pal. grin wink

Well, using a heat gun I got my Blackthorn hiking staff pretty straight. Well as straight as the slight dogsleg bend will allow. It is a lot straighter now and I am happy. Got the double bow out of the blackthorn cane as well. All in all, a nice couple of days.
