I DO remember that bushcraft review. It was amazingly well done, very informative, and extremely useful.
I've handled a few big choppers, but the best one was the BWM. The thin blade chopped easily and had enough mass to be effective. The 1311 is a close second.
Most of my 4-5" blades I use in hunting and field butchering so I don't mind 3/16" thick blades. Had a Mud Mutt--liked it just fine, but it was too redundant at the time so off it went. My SS5s have all been hard to let go.
The only truly thin Bussekin I've kept is the longer Scrapmax. It's a great kitchen knife. Not sure I'd take it afield--it seems a bit TOO thin for hard bushcrafting, but maybe that's just me.
