There is a huge outcry about canada and the US intering Japanese during WW2 but look what the Japs did to our citizens they captured. I am sick of double standards.
While not making light of the treatment that western and nonwestern POWs received at the hands of the Japanese during WWII (let alone the civilian populations of the territories that they conquered before and during the war), an important distinction to remember is that the U.S. interred its own CIIZENS based on race/ethnicity. Notably, the U.S. did not intern vast amounts of Italian and German Americans. Just something to remember.
