Only the cruisers had the lopey american idle. The Thruxton cafe racer, and the new Bonnevilles have a bigger motor. There is a cheaper dark version that has the old motor and it is a heck of a deal.

A modern sportbike can be a write off if you drop it of it's kickstand because the plastic is so expensive and breaks easy. Find one of these and strip of all the plastic and put on some dirtbike bars and a round headlight and you have got yourself a killer streetfighter. I saw an article on a 04 Ninja 1000 that had this done and it was incredible. The stock 04 and newer ninja's can do 100MPH in first gear. With the higher bars it was even comfortable and wheelied like mad.
oh you Bet ya! with ~15k rpm redline & stock gearing.. Many sportbikes can achieve triple digit mph in 1st gear!
Yes.. i really like the streetfighter look/concept. When i ride my cruiser.. I find i'm runnin a Lot of errands around town.. I find i don't have enough storage.. steering angles & gearing good for highway make city riding feel sluggish, etc.
