I bought an extra one in case a fellow Dog did not have the cash to spend on one now and might later when the DFLEs are no longer available. I will sell it to him for exactly what I paid for it (KNIFE, SHIPPING COST AND UNFORTUNATELY TAX SINCE I LIVE IN TX), plus the actual shipping cost to him or her. The tax and extra shipping make it a little more to get it this way but it's better than what many of the secondary market prices will be then. 179.95 + 14.95 shipping = $194.90 store cost. And + $14.95 tax for me = $210.00 my cost. Then add 8-10 dollars shipping to the Dog being "helped out" and it's right at $220.00! All the added costs of doing business immediately drive up the price of any knife that is hard to get. $179.95 sounds great but don’t forget it costs $40.00 more to do some one a favor AT COST (in TX anyway – that darn tax!).

I can vouch for this. When I first found out about the dog father I was foaming at the mouth for one. Unfortunately I was late to the party for the first 2 releases. When the dumpster mutt came available, I purchased 2 in the hopes that I could use one for trade to get a DF. KS came to my rescue, at cost, and threw in a sweet lanyard, even when I'm quite sure he probably had at least one dumpster mutt for himself already. One of the coolest and most generous guys you will find anywhere.
So if you want the knife you can take him at his word, it's golden.
