For those of you still waiting my DMDC arrived today. I really like the satin finish. It will be getting wet every day for five days in the middle of May. If the finish holds up to that (no rust) I'll be purchasing more satin finishes as/if the Yard makes them available. It will be wiped down at the end of every day with a Tuf-Cloth. While the knife is sharp, it is the dullest Scrap Yard factory edge I've seen. This will be easily corrected on my Sharpmaker and a few swipes on the leather strop.
